Teachings of the Four-Pawed Sage
On Presence
āSniff every corner as if it is the first and last corner you shall ever sniff. This is true mindfulness.ā
On Love
āGreet each being as though they have returned from war, even if they only went to take out the trash.ā
On Stillness
āWhen the sunbeam falls upon the floor, lie within it. For this is savasana perfected.ā
On Detachment
āIf it is yours, chew it. If it is not yours, also chew it. Nothing truly belongs to anyone.ā
On Enlightenment
āRaise your paw when the bowl sings. For this is the moment of awakening, and everyone should know you are wise.ā
On Joy
āRun in circles, tongue flopping, without reason. For reason is the chain, and joy is the leash undone.ā
