Welcome to my website. I bring together my knowledge and experience of yoga, movement science, health, and wellness. I guide and inspire individuals towards a healthier body and mind, both on and off the yoga mat.

I am an experienced and certified 500hr RYT yoga instructor who is wildly passionate about spreading the benefits of yoga. I offer a variety of classes to suit all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners. Join me on life's journey and experience the joy of transformation through yoga.

About Me
My journey into movement and wellbeing began long before I ever stepped onto a yoga mat. I started my career in the early 1990s as an aerobics instructor and personal trainer, later earning a first-class degree in Sport and Exercise Science and a Master’s in Human Nutrition. For nearly two decades, I worked as a Registered Nutritionist, supporting endurance athletes, collaborating with food companies, and writing for health and sports publications — all while competing as a swimmer, runner, and triathlete.

In my early thirties, I attended my first yoga class. As a fit but undeniably “tight” athlete, I was humbled — and instantly captivated. Yoga offered something I hadn’t found anywhere else: a practice that asked me to listen rather than push, to soften rather than strive. Over the years, I explored many styles, and today I teach a blend of Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin Yoga. I am also trained in Breathwork and Meditation, both of which now form a natural part of my teaching and the weekly meditation class I offer.

"Yoga is, and ultimately becomes, an intimate, lifelong friendship with your body and self. Yoga teaches us self-respect, self-care, and self-love. Through the consistent practice of yoga, we learn vital lessons that we can take off the mat and into our lives." — Lucy-Ann

My curiosity for the deeper layers of wellbeing led me to study Ayurveda in 2006, training as an Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle Practitioner. This expanded my understanding of how to live in rhythm with nature, and how food, herbs, and daily rituals can support vitality and balance throughout life.

After moving to Cornwall, I followed the quiet pull to teach yoga full-time. Since then, I’ve continued to deepen my training with respected teachers and advanced programmes, including a 300-hour Holistic Yoga Flow certification. Today, my work focuses on classes, workshops, and retreats — both here in the UK and overseas — creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves through movement, breath, and mindful rest.

In 2025, I published my first book, Yoga Words of Wisdom — a collection of reflections and teachings inspired by the practice that has shaped my life. It is available through my website, yogawithlucyann.com.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll most likely find me hiking the South West Coast Path with my faithful dog, Samson — who also insists on attending every class I teach.
